How does full disk encryption affect the life of HDD/SSD?

Over the past three years, two HDDs have died for me at 320 and 250 GB
. Both had a full disk encryption system.
Now the question has become to purchase a new hdd / ssd.
Subsequently, the new screw will also be encrypted.
There is a question. How much does full disk encryption affect the life of hdd / ssd?
Does the size of the HDD affect its lifespan (say up to 500 GB per cycle of its life) when encrypted?

Accumulators are consumables.
The fact that they can write and read the recorded information for some random time after the purchase is nothing more than a happy accident.

As far as I know, encryption is done "on the fly", ie. in the operating room. So the resource should not be affected.
