How does apt-get autoremove work?

Hey!
Even it became interesting, on the basis of what the team sudo apt-get autoremoveremoves packages?
Will something break after it?

man apt-get
autoremove
autoremove is used to remove packages that were automatically
installed to satisfy dependencies for some package and that are no
more needed.

Operates based on dependencies. If a package was installed as a dependency on another that has already been removed, the program marks it as available for autoremove. Roughly the same thing happens with old kernels. N versions are considered relevant, the rest (older ones) are to be deleted.
