How do you know if you need Docker?

Hello, I'm a regular front-end developer. In general, I have not tried working with Docker, but I have worked with Vagrant in my time. I would like to understand why there is such noise and how Docker will benefit me.
At work, we have a server rack on which Oracle VMware virtual machines are installed, on windows I can easily log in through the desktop client, if I'm using linux, I can easily connect via a web interface that represents management to virtual machines. As a rule, several are running on one machine: windows server, ubuntu server, redhat, windows 7.
On one of which, team city, youtrack, gitlab and others are deployed.
In general, tell me what are the conveniences from Docker and what will I need?
Thank you.

You have none. Docker is an admin tool.
If the admin says that we are testing everything in a container, and the same container goes into production, then you will do it. Because it will be more convenient.
Of course, you can also run all your services not in virtual machines, but in containers. Plus - less resource consumption. The downside is the time it takes to set up.

Strange question, if docker can solve any of your problems, then you need it.
But the case does not come to mind when it is needed for the frontend.
