How do single files get into the quota in Google Drive?

1. Uploaded a lot of files to Google Drive, all files are in folders.
2. After that, Google Drive, when synchronizing, deleted many files that were deleted from the computer.
3. After that, I myself deleted all folders from Google Drive via the web interface
4. Emptyed the entire trash, waited for all files to be deleted from it
5. The disk is still busy> 20GB
6. Found their location ( https://drive.google. com/drive/#quota) The
question is, how did they get there if I deleted all the files?
PS The quota now contains about 50 thousand small files outside the folders, which can be deleted by 20 - 200 pieces

Wait.

Sometimes changes made to your google drive account will take the google servers 24-48 hours to properly sync and reflect back to your drive.
