Why doesn't Google Photos sort local copies of photos into albums?

On the site, all photos can be sorted by albums, but if you go to Google Drive in the Google Photos folder, you can see that all photos are only in this folder. Is this a bug with me or not yet finalized functionality?

I'm not sure, but I think that the sorting of photos on the site is done using metadata. That is, relatively speaking, tags. Exclusively logical separation. Folders are not created. If so, then there is nothing surprising.
