How do online stores in the west?

Tell me, how do online stores in the west? Interested in everything from how the sales department is formed, to what CRM they use.
For example, we widely use 1c + online store + CRM. If you have experience please share.

I would not look at the West from the point of view that "everything is cooler with them than with us." They are far from cool for the most part, online stores are even more primitive.
At the level of "1C, integrated with an online store" and few people do it here.
Basically, the site lives its own life, and 1C lives its own.
And in the West, equally limited half-hearted solutions are preferred. Complete solutions are too expensive.
Few of the developers had the opportunity to make a fully integrated solution. For example: a product that is placed in the basket is immediately reserved in 1C so that this product is not sold off-line in a physical store).
The lack of experience among developers is clearly visible from the answers that are written here. Here you asked a question, citing the link "1C + website" as a technical level, and you are given answers mainly only about the web part of the system. About how the off-line part is integrated there, these "advisers" simply have no idea , they have not come across.
It's not entirely the fault of the "responders" in this thread. They simply did not come across, few people were lucky enough to reach such rich or technologically savvy customers, and not everyone is given the opportunity to convince them to make a full-fledged integration.
In the West it's the same. With the only amendment that the West is larger than the Russian-speaking segment. And in absolute terms, of course, there are more fully integrated systems than our "1C + website" systems.
But in relative terms, everything is the same. The lion's share - the most primitive in terms of automation isolated systems. The site is separate. Internal accounting system - separately.
It's good if at least the product update (including pictures and descriptions and prices) on the site is automated. Even this is a rarity.
PS:
By the way, you don't even know the correct terminology either.
CRM is not the same.
1C is not CRM. This is more ERP + lightweight CRM, and 1C has a minimum of CRM functions.

Considering the scale of the West, they are doing even worse than ours. More pop. More banal, easier. Oddly enough, but it is in part 1C that we have quite strong software.
Of course, there are especially serious online stores in the West .... An analogue of the most "adult" solutions from 1C is Navision / MS Dynamics in the West
