How do keys work in YAN?

If I understand correctly, then the keys set the subject of interests of the recipient of the ad.
If you ask apartment renovation, then people who are interested in this will see my ad.
If in one ad there are phrases from different topics, then it turns out that they complement each other and expand the scope, right?

Keys in YAN work in two ways:
1) Thematic targeting
The impression occurs if the content of the page visited by the user belongs to the same topic as the query.
For example, the query "food for dogs" and the dog owners forum.
2) Behavioral targeting
The display takes place on sites visited by a user who has recently been interested in the topic to which the request can be attributed. But most often, this means that the user has previously searched for such a request in Yandex.
For example, a user previously searched Yandex for the query "where to buy food for dogs" and then saw an ad on a weather website for the query "food for dogs".
Separate queries in one ad work separately from each other, their coverage is not combined, but may overlap. In this case, it makes no difference whether the requests are in the same declaration or in different ones.
