How do I save files for the Audiobooks site?

I have a site with audiobooks, now all audio files are stored on the VPS where the site itself is located.

Tell me how and where to store audio files so that they load quickly and there is enough space. I count on 2000 books - approximately - 1TB of memory. On average, one file is up to 500mb. I read a lot of information about this, I found something about file servers like amazon s3, but it's still not completely clear what it is, how it works and how to do it right.

I ask for your help.

You create a bucket and stupidly throw all your files into it (you can use your hands, or you can use the API). Usually you can choose between cold/hot tariff and write/read priority, according to which the price will be lined up.
When you need to give it to the user, you simply generate a link.
Billing goes for the amount of stored data, read / write operations, and the network.
There are many providers: Amazon S3, Azure Object Storage, Yandex.Cloud Object Storage. MCS Cloud Storage, etc - they all provide an Amazon S3 compatible API
