There is an abstract idea here. In other terminals, the autocomplete button will remain a tab. That is, customizing your personal workplace can sometimes get sideways, but you don’t necessarily work locally, ssh there, other people’s terminals, etc., etc.

You can make another button tab in the whole system using Seil
