How do I apply a certificate to an Exchange 2007 connector?

How to install an SSL certificate issued by an external certification authority on a specific connector, for example, looking only at the Internet, and use a self-signed certificate for the internal connection connector.
At the moment, I found the opportunity to apply a certificate only for the IIS or SMTP service, for example.

Certificates are bound specifically to services (IIS, SMTP, POP, IMAP), and not to connectors

Yes , Roman Bezrukov is right, in your case you need an intermediate service, like "Reverse proxy" published for connections from the outside, and SSL for external connections will already be terminated there, on a public certificate.
