How can I speed up Android Studio?
The first impression was positive, everything worked quickly, until I added the project, after that terrible lags began and sometimes even freezes for 5-10 seconds.
The launch takes about 8-10 seconds, then lags begin, the program does something there, which takes about 40-50 seconds. When you write something in files, it can lay. The assembly of the project occurs when it does, sometimes it does it in 15 seconds, and it happens that you wait a minute and a half until the apk is assembled.
All this is accompanied by terrible lags in the system itself, especially noticeable when listening to music in the browser, the sound just "goes to zero", some stuttering (if you listen in the system itself, then everything is more or less normal, but there are also stuttering). With genymotion enabled, there is about 800-1GB of free RAM left.
Features:
CPU core2duo e8400(2*3GHz)
RAM DDR3 6gb(1+1+4) 1333
HD SSD OCZ Vertex3 120gb
Vidyuha
HD5770 1gb
Mother asus p5q3 delux
OS Windows 7 x64 sp1
comes up to 65.
In general, the characteristics are not very bad. At least until now I have not seen that anything loaded the computer so much.
Are there ways to somehow optimize / speed up the work of AS? Or cure audio jamming in the browser?

Installed Elementary OS, now everything works much faster. Lost slowdown interface and sound. And most importantly, the assembly of APK has accelerated. If you make any changes to xml files, then the assembly takes about 4-8 seconds, and if something is in Java code, then about 30-40. And this is with a hard drive from a laptop, not an SSD. So we can assume that the best way out of this situation is to switch to some kind of linux.
(and in general somehow everything works faster compared to Windows)
There is an option in the File menu - power saving mode. It disables some background processes, including background code analysis. It might take some pressure off.
Perhaps this will not be a consolation for you.
But, the only thing that managed to load my percent to 100%
intel xeon 1241v3 is only Android Studio)
yes, it still works hard, even the same Eclips I have the latest versions without problems already
Well, it's unlikely that anything will help you speed up.
But in order to avoid freezes and twitching of the sound, I set the priority Low for the studio64.exe process in the Task Manager.
1. I recommend https://www.genymotion.com for emulation , instead of the standard emulator.
2. Instead of AndroidStudio, if it loads you a lot, install Intellij IDEA. I don’t know what was rewritten there for Android (after all, it is based on the same Intellij), but it is possible to do without Gradle.
QuadCore Intel Core i5-2500K, 2200 MHz (22 x 100)
8147 MB (DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM)
ASDK ST3000DM001-9YN166 (3000 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-III)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (2048 MB)
Asus P8Z77-M Pro (1 PCI-E x1, 3 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMMs, Audio, Video, Gigabit LAN)
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1
Works great.
