How can I monitor the status of disks in a raid on a hypervisor host?

Can anyone share their practices / thoughts on how you can monitor the status of disks online in a raid on a server acting as a hypervisor? And then periodic trips to the server room and "sticking" into green diodes - not like feng shui))

Regardless of the OS, you need to look for software for a RAID controller that shows information through the CLI. Then you can either watch remotely or set up monitoring.
