How can I map local files with similar ones on a remote server?

Good afternoon.
There is a project on a remote server (test environment) and its copy on a computer, which does not work, since it is not possible to deploy the environment on a local machine.
How can I map local files with remote ones so that when local files change, they are uploaded to a remote server.
The main problem is that files are changed in many ways (Atom and via terminal), so SFTP-deployment for atom or similar things are not very suitable.

The use of VCS in development is the Law. Are we not human? ;)
If not, you can run some Meld, open the remote and local folders and fix the differences manually. But all changes are under personal control ...
