How are characters created for games now?
I recently started learning 3D modeling (making models from simple to more complex). I liked the creation of characters the most, but I deducted that now characters start with sculpting. And the question arose: how are the characters for games made now? (For I did it only through a 3D editor). I would like to understand, so that in the future I will get a job in gamedev.

Sculpting first.
Then the high-poly model is duplicated and a low-poly model is made from the duplicate. This process is called retopology.
Then a normal map is baked from the high-poly model.
The normal map is stretched over the low-poly model.
Well, then everything - coloring and return to the customer.
