How and where is the best place to install programs?

I faced such a problem, I don’t know where to install programs, I have two SSD and HDD hard drives, I divided the HDD into two partitions, the OS is already installed on one partition, and there is nothing on the second partition, but there is also an SSD drive already with one partition created and there is nothing there either. And so I want to ask where it is best for me to install games, all sorts of programs. I know that the OS should be on an SSD drive, but I can’t do this due to technical problems

It's simple =)
- The system must be on an SSD . If you are afraid of losing data, make a backup to another medium, for example, to Acronis (in sector-by-sector mode, all data will be saved up to a bit)
- The fewer accesses to the SSD for writing, the better (at least at the beginning of 2018 =)). So, if the size of the SSD allows, then put there all the programs that you will use all the time (browser, office, player ...).
- At the expense of games. If they are heavy (Battlefield 1, PUBG, ...) and allow the size of the SSD, put it there. Simple on HDD, speed is enough.
PS. The fewer partitions on a hard drive, the better, since when accessing several, performance drops, because you often have to move the read head of the disk to different places. But this is not critical, since this loss is usually not more than 5%. And on normal HDD there are good controllers.
P.S.S. _ In such questions, immediately indicate the size of the disks, more information, it's easier to answer =)

@Atlant1Q

it's better to put everything on ssd, incl. and OS, deal with technical problems, it's worth it.
