Home LAN switch?

There are many wires from LAN sockets from all over the house in one place and an Asus wl-500gp router with Internet access via a usb modem. You need a switch (24 ports) for reasonable money (up to 15k) for tying into a network with the ability to access the Internet through a router and view (simultaneously in at least two rooms) IPTV in the foreseeable future.
I'm completely green in this topic, so I ask you not to scold much for what I wrote above.
Advise the switch model or how to organize the idea correctly and competently?
