I'm doing some basic repairs. What to do with the Internet (sockets, router)?
I welcome everyone! I am doing repairs and do not know what to do with the Internet. The scheme is this:
You need to connect 3 TVs to the Internet with wires, 2 computers, a home server and a bunch of devices via Wi-Fi. So, is it better not to make sockets for TVs, for example, but just pull out the wire and connect it directly? I will need normal gigabit wires, since the speed will be gigabit in the local network. Repairmen say they know where to get such wires. Is it worth it to entrust this business to them or is it better to buy it yourself? And as for the equipment. I think to take separately a Wi-Fi access point and a router. I will hang Wi-Fi on an open wall (there are thick doors in the closet) and lead the wire from the router to it. And the route itself. I'll put it in the closet, where all the wires will be. Please advise how best to do this. (Internet: 300 Mbps over L2TP, you will need ~7 connectors in the router). I always used a regular router, but I decided to do everything right. I would appreciate any help. (for iron advice too)

I recommend this router (flexible, powerful, a lot of functionality and not expensive for gigabit, there is also an sfp port and you can directly accept optics from the provider.) Cable for an apartment is enough category 5 for gigabit, if you really want to, you can take 6 cat, higher is practically meaningless. Wiring, see for yourself, according to the circumstances. If you have a home server or something like it and many rooms, you can take ubiquti washers as access points. They allow you to make a convenient seamless coverage throughout the house, they are powered by POE, so they only pull 1 wire, there are both 2.4 and 5 Ghz. And clarify your questions.
