Home file washer?

I want to deploy FreeNas on Virtualbox on an Ubuntu host. How to hotplug data drives? with the usual connection of the disk in VB and, accordingly, in Freenas, after writing the files to the disk, ubuntu does not see anything on the real disk. If you have good advice or alternative solutions - welcome!

use sharedbox luk
they are made specifically for forwarding files from the host to the guest.
just install drivers
