High-pass filter at the output of the equalizer, why is it needed?

What is the purpose of the high-pass filter (cutoff frequency 10.6 Hz) at the output of the equalizer in the above diagram? It is necessary to describe the operation of the device assembled according to the scheme. Or is it just for DC isolation?
