Now I am reading Harris's book "Digital Circuitry and Computer Architecture", I reached chapter 4, where the study of the hardware description language begins, looking ahead a little, I realized that with the help of hdl the main components of the processor will be described. The free ones I know are Vivado (Xilinx), Quartus (Intel/Altera), *** (Lattice).
Under Linux, probably - there is Icarus.
