Help with usb hub?

I ran into a problem that on my old asus k56s the cable from the motherboard to 2 usb ports + audio connector burned out, in the end only 1 usb 3.0 remained

. but I want to buy 1 but for a longer time. I looked after myself 2 options:

But, here again the problem is that the hub is connected to the PC with some other input that I don’t have, and I don’t even know what this type is called :)
I found this adapter on the same aliexpress: tyts (the option to buy a hub with a direct connection via usb does not work because I didn’t find it with different pluses, but only a simple one.
So the question is: will I be able to connect the hubs indicated above normally through that adapter, and everything will not burn to hell starting from my last usb port (because then the laptop can be thrown into the trash), because as I understand through those hubs now you can modern

It will not burn out, but HDMI / VGA will not work, for video transmission you need a Type-C port in your computer,
take a regular USB 3.0 hub

There is a hub with a card reader
