Redmine
Alexey Arkh, 2019-03-15 17:16:35

Has anyone managed to install redmine?

I spent the whole day fumbling, and did not understand how to put it. Yes, I have not had so many problems with Zhiguli as with this crap.
By the way, versions 3 and 4 differ somehow in the startup process?
Because I read the manuals for the 3rd version, and it seems like redmine somehow starts on port 3000, and according to the 4th version, it says that you need to connect through nginx as a regular site, and of course I didn’t succeed.
Nginx swore that there was no access to the /opt/redmine/public directory, I even put 777 on it out of desperation, but it seems that I somehow overcame it, but some kind of thin server is also needed there, which does not create pid files, without which nginx cannot work.
In general, I decided to install redmine through apt install, like all normal people, and there is version 3, okay, it doesn’t matter anymore, I run it, and there:

Bundler could not find compatible versions for gem "bundler":

    bundler (2.0.1)
This Gemfile requires a different version of Bundler.
Perhaps you need to update Bundler by running `gem install bundler`?

Could not find gem 'bundler (>= 1.3.0, < 2.0)', which is required by gem 'rails (~> 4.2.8)', in any of the sources.

dpkg: ошибка при обработке пакета redmine (--configure):

I re-read the entire Internet, entered all the commands that have ever been written by people, the result is not the one that was promised on stackoverflow.
I tried it through the docker, because every hipster shoves it everywhere, I thought everything was probably set up there, in the end I do everything according to the instructions, I run it, everything is without errors, the manual says "now follow the link localhost: 3000 and you will have redmine". Damn, why is he so arrogant? I go and there "Page not found".
Maybe there is some kind of virtualbox image or what? Because I just need a demo to see if it's worth using redmine or investing in jira after all, otherwise I'm already starting to think that this is some kind of fake, and not a working program.

@AlekseyArh

There is such a site https://bitnami.com/stack/redmine from where you can download a virtual machine image with redmine deployed. Very simple and easy to use.
