Hanging MS Office during VPN connection. Someone faced?

Good afternoon!
Colleagues, someone has come across that when VPN (pptp, or any other protocol) is connected, MS OFFICE starts to slow down, checked for 2010 and 2016. When editing a document, it freezes for a while and does not respond for 15-20 seconds.
Setting up a VPN to use a remote network gateway is not worth it, but when you turn it on, it's the same.
It seems that for some reason office itself starts to drive traffic into the raised channel.
