I have this laptop: https://support.hp.com/ru-ru/document/c06063333

I don’t remember the exact date, but about 1-2 weeks ago, glare of different colors began to appear on the screen, it may appear when opening a new tab, windows or closing, in general, if something on the screen moves or changes, they are fixed in these places and in order for them to disappear, you also need to change something (update, close-open, minimize-expand, etc.). Most often I notice these highlights in the visual studio code program and the league of legends game client. Of the last, what I did was significant: about a month ago I updated the BIOS, video drivers, updated the NET framework, changed the size of the paging file, there were OS updates from windows.

About two weeks ago, I downloaded an exe file from an unknown site (some kind of file hosting service). Bad memory, so I don’t remember for what purpose the download was, but most likely I didn’t open it, because I’m wary of such things and I remember exactly that I regretted that I pressed the download button. Somewhere at the same time, my laptop started to slow down terribly, this had not happened before, I rebooted it and the lags disappeared. After that, I deleted that exe file, downloaded malwarebytes and scanned all the disks completely. But this program began to find threats in Yandex browser files and nothing more. Since the lags disappeared, I calmed down, but not much time passed and these very glare began to appear.

I can’t say for sure what exactly caused the glare, maybe system and driver updates, maybe this exe file or something else. Is it possible to find the cause yourself and deal with it? The laptop is out of warranty.

Problems with the video card. Try changing your video driver. It seems that you can disable the discrete video adapter in the BIOS and leave only the built-in one, you can also try this.

Looks like physical damage. Maybe a train, maybe a matrix.
Go into the BIOS and everything will be clear - if the artifacts are there, then this is clearly an iron problem.
