Gigabyte ga-h55m-ud2h + 16Gb of memory starts, but hangs when loading windows x64?

1. Gigabyte ga-h55m-ud2h (latest BIOS), 2 Goodram GR1600D364L11/8G
sticks 2. Bios detects memory normally, but windows x64 hangs at startup.
On the off-site of the motherboard, the maximum amount of memory is 16GB.
I tried to put another memory (2x8gb), the same story.
Before that, there were 4 strips of 2GB each, everything works with them.
Help.

At 90%, you are in the span - if the site says a maximum of 16 gigs - and you have a 4-slot board, then this almost always implies that the maximum amount of the installed die is 16/4 = 4 gigs of memory. That is, the chipset, in principle, cannot work with 8 gigabyte dies.

There seems to be a standard procedure here. Set the standard mode (1333), set one at a time, swap, try on another motherboard (or even another computer), run another OS. Then it will be possible to talk about a problem with memory, motherboard or OS.

There was a similar situation, it turned out that the mother was buggy. I calculated by mutual sequential replacement of all components with another mother, since there were two identical sets. The SC confirmed this and replaced it under warranty.

Is there a restriction on 1/2-sided modules by any chance in the description?

You need to add prefixes.
For example for WebKit
