Does the IPPON UPS give an error and turn off the server?
We purchased an IPPON Smart power pro 1000 UPS. We connected a server to it, during normal operation, 2 green indicators are on. But once a day, the server began to cut down, and a red error signal is on the UPS. And until you reboot the UPS, the server does not turn on. They took the UPS for diagnostics, connected a computer to it and everything has been working continuously for more than 3 days. (The UPS does not give any errors) Has anyone encountered a similar case? The client (where the UPS was installed) has a constant power surge.

Plug an unwound (weak) extension cord into a long meander and include something voracious in it. (if there is no latra, BP, ..) And load ups. Pick up the conditions when it will switch to the inverter and even to the batteries.

* Does it flicker when switching to an inverter? (when it increases the drawdown to the required one). How does it react to more stress? Possibly a relay in bad condition or some other reason for delay in switching. Inverter overheating. Diagnostics catches a jump in the output.
* check the transition to batteries. Also switching delay.
* how does it react to overload? (in all three modes) Many testers can be connected via rs232.
* Can't the server "tell" oops something that it can't process? (Stuck between them, especially easy if rs232)
* If power is supplied from this oops, and rs232 / usb / eth is started from another (at 100-500 watts) - will it also fall? (better on the contrary, of course, with a good power supply, and this one is in diagnostic mode).

* The load is also possible inside. Iron and fan :) But it's better to copy from current clamps from the "server" socket. A known-good UPS holds the server, and the current is measured on the sockets with flares. And it is set on the load connected to the tested UPS.
If there are logs... How long has it been on batteries (in inverter mode)? Upsiks often have a radiator - aluminum cubes and plates. This is a heat exchanger. You can choose the battery and the load with the peak of their heating. More load will turn off earlier. Less - less heated. If you are not lucky, the manufacturer did not take into account (or did not want to), and the peak is above the tolerance.
Mother PC can write 100 kilohertz. It is possible to bring 220 into it through a step-down transformer from several points. Write down what happens at night. The webcam will show what is happening with the server and oops.
