Gallery for WP. What to use?

Guys, help with the decision.
You need to make a gallery on the site - so that the user opens a page with projects where previews of completed projects will be located (like albums in VK, for example), and if you select such a picture, several pictures related to the selected project will open. And, preferably, a description.
Is there such a solution for WordPress?

Consider custom post types and custom metas for them. In most cases, this helps resolve the issue.
With custom types, you create a "Project" post with a thumbnail, and put an image in the body using the standard gallery. Or add custom tags.
Lots of options. Works often better than a plugin.
