How to clean the wheel on the canon EOS 400D viewfinder?

I have a Canon EOS 400d. The glass in the viewfinder is normal. (Not frayed or erased). Is it possible to clean this wheel with something so that it would spin ??? (it is near the viewfinder). I can't spin anything. Or can it be taken apart? If so, can you provide instructions?
