How to see other image formats in windows 10 pro when saving a PNG image?

If I choose when saving the file type - all files, then the image is saved without an extension and as a result it cannot be viewed by the image viewer.
Is there any way to set the visibility of other image formats when saving a PNG image by default and still save the PNG file with a PNG extension?
