Frequent recording errors, where to look for a problem?

There is an old laptop.
crystaldiskinfo on smart shows that the hdd is in good condition.
costs winXP.
Often there are messages in the tray like "failed to write such and such a file."
When booting, it often offers to make a hard chkdsk.
Sometimes messages fly out when opening programs like "... is not an image of the windows nt program".
Where to look for the reason? HDD (although smart is still normal), RAM or mother? or something else?
Memtest showed no errors

I would also look in the direction of the controller and the strapping / cable to the screw.
Accordingly, I would check with Victoria on this computer and on any other, obviously working one. If there are errors on the target computer, but not on the control one, and memtest on the target computer does not show errors, then the controller / harness / loop

Before any action - remove the backup if there is important data.
Then:
Checkdisk, surface.
Boot from live cd, drive data around dd.
Most likely a new disk threatens.
In old laptops, disks are dying with a bang. And in general, in laptops, if handled carelessly, even the sensors do not save.

Very similar to the operating system. Memtest her.

Check HDD. Full surface test MHDD
If it shows that the surface is in a satisfactory condition - a full test of the surface for writing and subsequent reading of the recorded.
If it suddenly turns out that the disk is still alive, then think further.

The smart check is not enough. You also need to check the surface, preferably with a remap. I recommend Victoria.
