Freelancers, how many hours a day do you spend working?

I wonder how much time per day (in hours) in real life it takes a freelancer to work to provide for life (without embellishment)? This is more of a question for designers and web developers.

Do you understand that there is no clear answer to this question?
It depends on the number of projects a person is working on (and this value can be variable - either thick or empty).
Depends on the rate per hour for which it works.
Depends on the level of expenditure required to "ensure life".
Let's take a developer's spherical rate on oDesk - 25$\h
Let's assume that you live in Moscow, and your comfortable existence rests on 3k$ \ per month.
Through simple manipulations, we get: you need to work 120 hours a month, which, with a classic 5-day work week, is 6 working hours.
Here, of course, you need to take into account that someone may have a lower rate. And also, that getting attached to Moscow and its inflated costs with freelance income is a rather strange decision.

To ensure life now you need 2 hours a day, when you started you needed 4 hours a day.
If life is simpler, and not so much that you want to buy something, then you can work for an hour.

40 hours a week, a clear schedule, maximum productivity. Since you have your own projects, there is never too much time.

I have a schedule, there are 3 intervals of 2 hours for work. Seems to be more or less effective.

Mon-Fri - 9-16 with breaks shop-market-departure to the customer, everyone is already used to the fact that I don’t work on weekends, those who often order something (landing page, add a complicated page to the site), they don’t bother them on weekends. There is enough time for all things, and pick up the child from the kindergarten, and walk with her on the playground for an hour, and solve some of your questions, and without days off the roof starts to go and it’s better to slacken on social networks for a couple of days, watch a movie than watch stupidly on the page and from fatigue do not understand what to do next with it.
I often work from 5 to 7 in the morning (perhaps the quietest time), during work I take several breaks to browse the Internet

6-10. I take a day off almost every week. That is, I practically do not go beyond the average generally accepted norms.

8-10 hours. Also, this time depends on the level of your knowledge. And of course, how much time are you willing to spend.

I read the answers. Wow, how lazy I am - now I counted from the first to 24, it turns out that 4 hours a day round and round. Even 3.58...

I try, Monday-Friday 4-6 hours a day.
But in the case of a deadline, there are also 12 hours Monday-Sunday.
During work, be sure to work 30 minutes, 5 minutes of sports - dumbbells, spin, horizontal bar.

It all depends on the availability of orders and on inspiration, you can pick your nose for a week and procrastinate gathering your thoughts and then sit for two days drinking heavily for 12-14 hours without a break to design, code, make up, fill, grind with a file - depends on the presence of a fuse. If you take the Pareto principle - 70% of the work is done in 30% of the time, then you will roughly understand what I mean. And when people say that "I work 6-8 hours a day," it's worth figuring out how much time it takes to work, and how much time to pick your nose. Emergent Task Timer can help you find out for sure - on the left, write what time is spent on, and on the right, shade the points where you spent the current 15 minutes.

Now 10-12 hours a day, on weekends 6-8. I loaded myself with work because my wife wants money)

I have a timer for at least 5 working hours a day, every day, seven days a week.
