For what reason did the WiFi router stop receiving a signal from the Internet cable after increasing the length of the cable?
At home, after building up the Internet cable, the router stopped receiving a signal from it or started but at a catastrophically low speed. But at the same time, if the cable was directly connected to a laptop or computer, the speed was excellent, and ping and loss were normal. I understand the problem in the router, what caused it and is it necessary to change the router in this case?
From the source cable to the provider's box at the entrance: 15-17m.
The extension was carried out with a UTP cable 5cat. for 4 pairs 10m. (in addition to the previous length)
Connected with a soldered twist
