How to minimize a function from one variable in scipy?

I'm trying to minimize a function from one variable (for a test). Why does it show the local minimum and not the global one?

Most likely the OS crashed. Alternatively, the router was hacked and control was taken over. Change it at a pace and reflash.

Most algorithms only look for a local minimum. You can choose a starting point closer to the global minimum to find exactly that.
