Flagship on android or iphone 7/8?

Hi all!
I choose my phone. A lot of different opinions. The main requirement: to buy a phone that will last a long time (5 years or more) and will not slow down. I watch various flagships (honor, xiaomi, asus, etc.) on android in the region of 30-35 thousand. Judging by the char-cams, everything is cool there (snapdragon 845, 6 GB RAM, etc.), and on the other side of iphone 8 with button and 2gb ram. What do you advise? That's how much I communicate with people, many still have iphone 5s (it flies without a single lag), but on android I have not heard that even after 2 years it was also stable and there were no lags.
