Fan stands for laptop - pros, cons, pitfalls?

I wonder if there is any benefit from laptop stands with built-in fans and what you should pay attention to when buying. The facts that by cleaning the "boot" from the radiator (described here ) I significantly lowered the temperature regime of the laptop (and therefore the heat exchange through the plastic bottom is not so significant) and that for the familiar owner of the stand it practically did not affect anything, allow us to doubt the expediency of such stands , but at the same time, I would like to use all possible means to reduce the temperature and increase the life of the laptop (because despite its advanced age, it suits me more than, and I am not financially ready for a sudden breakdown). Advise who has experience and understanding in this matter.
By the way, unlike other areas that are more or less cool in the absence of peak loads, the RAM (not cooled by anything, not in contact with the heat-exhaust path), for example, heats up like an iron all the time and one bar has already hiccupped for several years (has gone bad sectors in MemTest ).

There is no use if the laptop is working. It won't overheat or shut down. If the temperature becomes dangerous, the laptop itself will reduce power (throttling).
And if the laptop is not working, then it is better to fix it, and not try to plug up the problems with clogging, breakdown of the cooling system or marriage with the help of these stands.

If you use a laptop on soft surfaces (for example, on a bed), then it is better with a stand a couple of cm high, then less dust and hair will clog, and the windows for air access will not overlap

At one time I bought a Cooler Master stand for HP Pavilion G6 - it was simply unbearably warm in the summer, it was impossible to work. I took it with one huge fan (about 20 cm in diameter), about 2.5 cm high. It doesn’t make much noise, there is a real benefit. Especially if the laptop is slightly shifted on the stand so that its fan drives air into the vents of the laptop itself (I think everyone here knows how HP places cooling systems in laptops).
But miracles don't happen. The laptop still heats up.

Good afternoon!
Personally, I do not see the point in these stands, because the only thing they do is "drive away" the air under the laptop, there is not much benefit from this.
Since most laptops are made of plastic, the cooling of plastic is questionable.
I recommend changing the factory thermal paste to a more thermally conductive one ( www.overclockers.ru/lab/39006_5/Chto_novenkogo_Tes... and blow ventilation from dust

Honestly, I’ve already been testing this miracle for a week and now there’s no difference at all that without anything with a stand XD The only thing I noticed is that it cools everything next to it (My mouse is cold) XD And the laptop itself, well, if the current is 1 degree and then I don’t think so)) It’s bullshit for 40 bucks)) I think the point here is that my laptop works at a normal pace of 40 degrees, and in the load the type of game is 70-80 there, well, if you play for an hour)) And I was counting that if you play with a stand for an hour, then there will not be 80, and the difference in tests is zero. The stand is needed if in the normal pace of work you have 80 "probably" XD
