ExFat partition not opening after insecure shutdown?

Reset virtualka win7 with connected usb hdd while writing to it. Now the partitions are not visible and it offers to initialize in the disk manager: when you click OK, it gives out "invalid function". The hdd had 2 partitions: 15GB FAT32 and ~280GB ExFat. In a virtual machine with Ubuntu, the first partition is visible and available for work. UPD I flipped it, now Windows saw the first partition and offered to scan the second one (but the check hung at 0%). DMDE also worked: I'll try to find a place to create a backup ...

Suddenly, the section repaired itself.

0) data from it is needed at all? And then so fearlessly tried to initialize the disk.
1) if needed:
take the screw out of the box, connect it natively, make a full sector-by-sector copy. (dd will help)
now you can experiment with any one copy of the disk:
see what's in the disk header, whether the partition table itself is lost (at least partially intact, since ubunta sees the first partition)
with parted or fdisk see what sections are visible at all.
