Error highlighting in JetBrains editors?

Errors in phpStorm are highlighted as a red wavy bar below the code and a label on the scrollbar. Both (especially with a dark theme and when the error is in one character) are very, very, very poorly noticeable and this is very, very inconvenient to use. Is there something else to see errors in code? Or some kind of panel, or a red frame with the error text immediately below the error, or something else?

File -> Settings -> Editor -> Color Scheme -> General -> Errors and Warnings -> Error
And there you can set any underline, text and background color.
