Entity relationship editor or want something weird?
I will try to explain the original problem on my fingers.
There is a large heterogeneous information environment without a strict unified access control system.
A system for accounting for cut rights (but not only) on information system objects is required.
Moreover, the information environment may contain "clusters" (subsets) in which some kind of access control system operates.
For example, there is a user User1 who is granted access to the Ws12 computer, a proxy on the Srv203 server and who owns (has access to) the VPN keys of the cluster (in this case, a group of servers, a server cabinet) Cls1.
It is required to record the current state of affairs in the form of object links
User1 => Ws12->Shell
User1 => Srv203->Proxy
User1 => Cls1->Srv1->Vpn1->Key
I would like to note that the task is so abstract that it makes no sense to tie up with cabinets, servers and workstations.
In the same way, within the framework of the task, there is a need to take into account physical (ordinary iron) keys from various objects.
Those. we have a field of objects that can be either nested (to form trees, as for example in the case of Office->Cabinet->WorkStation->Resource), and single (User, Mobile phone). We need the ability to form links (to reflect the fact of access, ownership or other rights) between objects.
And it also needs to be preferably a multi-user environment with the possibility of parallel work of several employees providing accounting (ideally a web application).
Suggest something. :)
I am aware that the task is so abstract that there is hardly a ready-made solution, but maybe there is something close in meaning that can be adapted.

First, document it on paper.
When you understand the whole map, it will already be possible to design a base and a control solution for it
