Dropped the site via FTP, how to roll back the last changes?

The first time I worked with FTP, I first set up a connection through Explorer and foolishly decided to test the performance by dragging an image from the desktop to the root, and now when I try to connect, I get a request timeout. Help Krivoruk, what are the solutions to this problem?
UPD. Through the VPN and from other machines it comes in, apparently there is a problem with the ports or something else. Thanks to everyone who responded! I apologize for the incorrectly formulated question.

Check the access rights, with a simple copy via ftp, they could be reset to the one under whom ftp came in (for example, anonymous)
