Does your site support IE 8 or less?

I am writing a large project now and I thought about the support of the site for browsers IE8 and less. Do you support IE8? Maybe just put a stub, such as the Vkontakte site?

No, retrogrades must suffer.
Although if we are talking about IE8, then its mention is already akin to IE6 a few years ago, this is already completely antique.
The only criterion is that the texts should be readable and the navigation functionality should be preserved.

First, look at the statistics: if you have enough visitors using IE8, then it makes sense to support it, if not, a stub is still not an option, graceful degradation is better. Content makes sense to give the user at least in some form.

A very simple question.
Calculate how much income they bring.
After that, consider whether the support is worth the money.

I am rewriting the project. I'm canceling ie8 support, because. on the site per day only 0.4%
For them I will give a stub with a request to update or download a new browser
Especially since angularjs 1.3 on which the project will work does not support ie8

Look at the percentage of visitors to large resources, there will be sufficient numbers with IE7-8 that cannot be ignored.
Consider an example, I am sitting at work and working a job. Having shifted the pieces of paper from place to place, I suddenly decided to visit your resource. Having opened the coveted URL, I see a wonderful window with a proposal to upgrade. Hell, at my house everything is just top-end, I climb to download the distribution kit, otherwise it’s like in a village! But the evil administrator thought that IE7 would be enough for me to work and did not give me the rights to install the software. The treasured tab is closed.
Or the last example. "I like IE7" - I saw a window with a request to update, I realized that I was too lazy to do it, closed the site.
