Does the Windows 7 DHCP client support the Interface MTU (26) option?
I google something on the subject, and there is nothing similar.
I forcibly give the server mtu, but Windows does not want to apply it to the interface in any way. There is a suspicion that the option is simply disabled by default, because the flag is not set in the discovery. But where to turn it on, and whether it exists at all, I can not find.
Maybe someone came across?

The server gives what is asked of it. Check dhcp request. Parameter 26 will not be there. In any case, setting mtu via dhcp is a bad idea.
If the traffic is limited only to this subnet, then it's okay. If there is communication with the outside world, the decision is bad. Mtu must be defined for each specific connection. And about option 26 in windows - as far as I know, it does not work and will not work.
