Does my provider send requests to Telegram offline?

Greetings! Please tell me if I opened the telegram application at 13:00 (my ip connects to the telegram server), after two minutes I turn off the telegram (I don’t close it, I just turn it off), and then after 3 minutes I go back to the telegram.
During this time, does my ip reconnect or does it keep this session (not ending) if I just terminated the application?

It contacts every 5 seconds (or even more often, well, or a little less often) if running. But there are no exact minutes.

If we are talking about a computer, then the connection (session) is established all the time. If we are talking about a phone, it depends on the power saving settings of the phone and the client, as well as on the client's capabilities (there are many of them).
