Does it make sense to use official VK advertising?

Let me explain the essence of the question: does it make sense to use official advertising in contact if the number of participants in the group does not exceed 10? I think whether to use it or not, the group is young, and I don’t see any chances to promote it except through all sorts of smm and something else.

Why not?
I think that if you make ads wisely (show only to those who may be interested in your community) - everything will be ok, because all communities once started with "10 people", well, or else as an option, order a boost of subscribers to start

Tried. Expensive and inefficient. It's easier to make a prank

Look, here's the thing: advertising for promotion can work, but you need to understand: a) how much you are willing to pay for a public subscriber (let's say you have a group on loans - a lead will cost you conditional 200 rubles, and a subscriber 8 - that means you can use this channel)
b) if there is no understanding of how to monetize subscribers (for now), then you should not use advertising on VK either.
Above correctly written, draws work well. To overcome the psychological barrier that you have few participants, you can buy several hundred subscribers (just take those who have an e-mail in addition to a phone).
