Does it make sense to install a second video card?

Hello.
Now the computer has a GTX 770. There is a GTX 750 available. Of course, it will not work to combine their performance. But I read about using a second video card as some kind of accelerator. Is it possible to somehow affect the performance of games? Or is it worth putting it on a second monitor, although I don’t think this is a good solution, since, as I understand it, there will be 2 desktops.

The second card can be used to speed up PhysX. Not all games use it, so look at the ones you play and decide if you need a second graphics card.
Also check the number of PCIE lanes on the motherboard. Perhaps there are not enough of them, and when installing a second video card, each of the cards will use only 8 lines, which will affect the performance of the main card.

I agree SyavaSyava @SyavaSyava , it's pointless to put different cards for growth, the growth will be very small, it's not a crossfire there for better performance, of course, you can redistribute the loads for different tasks as an option, the ratio will be the norms of work performance will be norms! But still, I think that if there are two such cards in stock, then sell both, add a little and buy from the latest video series!

Best of all, sell them both, and put one powerful one, since two get very hot, and it won’t be of much use,
