Do you think negative reviews greatly affect a freelancer's reputation?

Do you think a single negative review will have a bad effect on the reputation? The customer, seeing that the number of negative reviews is not zero, would rather give the order to someone else?

As for me, the whole question is what is the ratio of positive and negative, roughly speaking, if there are 2 people, one with 100 positive and 1 negative, and the second with just 5 positive, then I would probably trust the first as a specialist

It interferes if there are few positive ones.
If there are enough good ones, then they can simply ask about the reason for the recall and how everything was resolved. In general, this is normal. But if there are a couple of negative ones, then there is already a reason for the client to think.

If this is your first review, then negative. If you already have positive reviews, then it's not so bad.

For me, a negative review from an artist is always a reason to think. But if in general a person has recently had a lot of positive reviews and a minimum of negative ones (one or two, no more), then he can be trusted (because there are also a lot of mad and inadequate customers).

Usually, from the review and the answer to it, it is clear who is inadequate (at least on Upwork).
And already from the content, I would have danced further - is it worth dealing with such a customer or contractor.
The downside is that the conflict is not resolved on its own, but made public.

Given the fact that a good freelancer has one in a hundred, this does not affect in any way

If for 10 reviews you have 1 negative, then most likely this will not affect the decision of the employer

Negative reviews certainly affect the customer's opinion of you, but this is not the most important thing. I know a lot of examples of people who had 50/50 positive and negative reviews on Upwork, and over time came out in a decent plus. For adequate clients, it is much more important how you approached specifically his task and, perhaps, at his request, explained the bad reviews.
