Do you know a virtual printer for debugging an application (in windows xp)?
Dear colleagues, there is a need to test an application that outputs readings to the printer at the end of the operation. In order not to waste kilometers of paper, I decided to look for a virtual printer that will accept print requests and pretend that everything was printed successfully.
I do not need any output from the printer, even in pdf or jpeg format. Everything should go to /dev/null right away.
At the moment I'm trying to implement the necessary functionality on Redmon + Ghostscript, but they also always produce a file as a result. The only crutch that I see at the moment is to save the output, for example, in jpeg, and then clean the jpeg folder every 5-10 minutes using a separate scheduler script.
Anticipating advice: I can’t turn off printing, testing should be as close to reality as possible.
Maybe one of you will suggest a simpler and more logical way to solve this problem in Windows XP?
Thank you in advance!
