How to correctly set the file parameters in Photoshop when creating a 100x150 cm poster?

You need to make a poster for printing in the size of 100x150 cm. How to properly set file options in Photoshop when creating a poster? I indicate in cm, but I suspect that I may be mistaken.

It is confusing that when you save an empty sheet in pdf format, the file weighs 12 MB, and when you add two pictures weighing 20 MB, the file already weighs 700 MB.

Please tell me the main nuances when creating and saving a file so that there are no problems when printing.

Size in cm, resolution 300dpi.
Do not forget about departures of a few millimeters on each side. The printer must have requirements.
Do not pay attention to the weight - adobe has a complete srach there because of compatibility.
