DisplayPort vs HDMI is there a difference in picture quality?

Now I have a monitor that has DisplayPort and HDMI, HDMI came with the monitor, but on sites in the reviews people write that you need to take DisplayPort right away because the picture quality is very different and support 75 Hertz.
Is there a difference? 75 Hertz works for me and on HDMI, but I'm not sure the quality, did you have a noticeable improvement when changing the cable in favor of DP? Does it make sense to spend a mower on this cable?

DisplayPort is a more modern connection interface. But it's not worth 1000 of course :)
