Disks mounted via davfs2 use hard disk space?

Actually, the whole question is in the SUBJECT. I mount Yandex.Disk via davfs2.
Does it take up space on your hard drive or is it like regular FTP.

FTP type, all over the network.
Disk space is used a little for the cache.
