Designers, how do you organize your photo bank?

The computer confidently turns into a dump of useful and not very photos, source files, icons and fonts. In this regard, it was decided to switch to dropbox in order to put things in order in the working sources, and unload the computer from unnecessary rubbish. But when I got into the folder with photos, my hands just dropped. Photos of different quality, size, and what is most unpleasant, these are any names in photos. From free-photoname-food-sitename, to dahhefb, and of course my favorite names are photo1 and photo1in1(1).
It seems to me that this is a common problem for many creative people (not only illustrators and designers), and I really wanted to know how you solve this problem? And essentially:
How to organize your home photo bank, how to group photos? How to turn your photo warehouse into a tool that makes your work easier?

@wyjka

There are many catalog programs.
You just need to make it a habit not to dump everything in one heap, but immediately put it in its place and / or tag.

If you need some kind of image, only then I look for it, and I don’t litter the screw with all sorts of sets of archives, etc., all the more I don’t worry about cataloging them. I store fonts and necessary putters/plugins/actions/templates on a flash drive/db.

Use Advanced Renamer - a program to rename many files and folders at once.

@zooks

The main rule is to tidy up the files immediately after the completion of the project.
